CAPACITY

The idea of capacity is central to our approach to several scales of engagement. At the physical level, it deals with the idea of a natural capacity – the inherent characteristic and potential of land to provision for ecosystem services which in turn determines the density and pattern of occupation. As a process, it addresses capacities of institutions and actors – building on their strengths and through training and capacity building exercises. INDÉ recognizes the critical need for leveraging both – natural and institutional capacity – to better address development challenges for a sustainable outcome.
