Creating and Nurturing Transnational Climate-Aware Knowledge Network
Supported by Frontiers Champions Programme, the Transnational Climate-aware Knowledge Network (TCaKN) brings together partners across the Indian subcontinent, working in the larger sphere of climate change and climate action, at the intersection of unprecedented urbanization, escalating fragmentation of natural ecologies, attendant biodiversity loss and changing climates.
It foregrounds the cumulative impact on the poor and the marginalized reiterating the need for spatial and environmental justice and focuses on collaborative working as the way forward in resolving the wicked natured problem. The Indian subcontinent shares a rich socio-cultural history and a high degree of homogeneity in the challenges faced by the region - whether urbanization trends, contribution to global GHG emissions or vulnerability to climate events, despite several nuances and contextualism.
The TCaKN is envisaged as a knowledge network that holds an intentional space for cross learning, co production and ultimately transnational collaboration.
